Director and Co-Founder, Gail Taylor, moved into this lovely house in Richmond back in 2007 and, at the time, did a complete remodel of the spaces and upgraded the property to give her family a lovely home for the next 17 years. However, with a grown-up family and an, almost, empty nest the house needed a refresh and Gail & her husband wanted to change the use of some of the spaces to suit their current lifestyle.

A huge part of our job as interior designers is to transform our clients’ homes. We love having the chance to reflect on how much has changed from the beginning to the end of a project. It is great to look back and feel that sense of immense pride that this transformational effect has made to our clients’ lives.

Joinery is a term that encompasses so much – it can span from a small shelving unit in a tricky corner through to a complete room lined with bookshelves, cupboards, or wardrobes. Well-made and thoughtfully designed joinery can transform a room and improve the storage and ergonomic use of the space, however, it is a big investment and needs to be thoughtfully considered and executed well.

Texture can be added in many ways, and we thought we would share a few of our favourites with you. The Th2 design team are lucky enough to have a plethora of talented suppliers who are constantly creating new and exciting ideas, so inspiration never seems to be in short supply.

We are proud to announce our recent collaboration with Tim Page Carpets launched during Design Week 2023. The Th2 team are regularly seen diving into their showroom in Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour to find inspiration for our latest project. We always know there will be plenty to choose from and we are always greeted by a smiling face from their friendly, helpful and experienced team.

The key to a functional yet relaxed home, no matter the size, is all about being clever with space. Space planning is where it all starts on a project and the magic about furniture placement is that it can completely transform the way you use your home.

This year's Pantone colour is another winner and it might just be that added touch you need to lift your home this January. This year's colour of choice is 'Viva Magenta', a bright and playful shade that can play a brilliant role in elevating a scheme.

After searching for a number of months we discovered Printworks House - originally, as the name suggests, our building started life as a real printworks. A three storey redbrick building with high ceilings and large critel windows. We fell in love with the history, the character, the light and the generously proportioned space the moment we set eyes on it.
